Lovelly Weddings
Lynn Lovell ~ Marriage Celebrant
HERE’S THE PLAN
We meet, we complete the NOIM form which you sign in front of me.
I check your ‘Proof of Identity’ documents & other documents as necessary.
You pay your deposit.
I give you my resource materials to help you plan your ceremony.
Together we create your ceremony and when it’s complete I email the draft copy to you for your approval. You can make any changes you wish to.
You pay the balance of the fee 2 weeks before the wedding.
We conduct a rehearsal at the venue a few days before the wedding.
You both sign your Declaration of No Legal Impediment.
Your wedding day arrives and amid the emotions and excitement I solemnise your marriage in accordance with the law.
You share a kiss and live happily ever after – but that part is up to you!
THE CEREMONY
- 1. I am required to state my name & that I am authorised to perform marriages in Australia.
- 2. The Monitum – which is the definition of marriage according to Australian law.
- 3. The Official words: “I call upon the people here present to witness that I, (Full Name), take you, (Full Name), to be my lawful wedded husband/wife/spouse”.
There are 3 legal components which must be included in your wedding ceremony.
Apart from these 3 things, the choice of content is entirely yours.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, both parties & 2 witnesses will each need to sign 3 certificates:
- A Form 15 Marriage Certificate which is yours to keep.
- The Official Certificate of Marriage which I lodge with Births, Deaths & Marriages.
- The Marriage Register, which is the certificate kept by the Celebrant.
